Freshman Camp has a new name for 2008! Carolina Kickoff What is Carolina Kickoff? A Carolina tradition for 60 years, this three-day bonding experience gives 150 first - year students a crash course in how to make the best of the UNC experience, as well as an opportunity to meet other first-years and have a great time. With the help of 37 dedicated and extremely passionate counselors from all walks of life, these first-years begin their Carolina experience with new relationships, the inside track on university life, and tons of Carolina spirit. When is Carolina Kickoff 2008? Carolina Kickoff 2008 will take place on August 13th - 15th. Participants can move into their dorms before other students (on the morning of the 13th), and will return to campus the afternoon of the 15th.
Can I attend both Carolina Kickoff 2008 and the August CTOPS or Pre-Orientation?
If you plan to attend Carolina Kickoff, you cannot sign up for the last CTOPS session - please choose a different session. You can, and are encouraged to attend both Carolina Kickoff and Pre-Orientation. Kickoff participants who sign up for Pre-Orientation will be provided transportation to the Pre-Orientation opening session. How do I sign up? You can register online for Carolina Kickoff starting May 1st at the site below. The cost this year will be $160, which includes all food and lodging for the three-day program.
